'An ingenious synthesis of all musical genres... It is all that jazz should be: original, fresh, unpredictable, symbiotic in group improvisation, and all that with a sense of humor.' - JazzPRESS
New York bassist and composer Mike Parker is joined by 2-time Grammy nominee Frank Parker on drums and Krakow's highly acclaimed tenor saxophonist Slawek Pezda. Over the past 4 years, the trio has developed their unique and energetic style playing over 300 concerts and festivals across 15 countries. Critics often note the group's ability to sucessfully combine wide-ranging influences such as Charles Mingus, Radiohead, Maurice Ravel, The Bad Plus, Led Zeppelin, John Coltrane, David Bowie, and hip-hop legends A Tribe Called Quest just to name a few.
The trio began in November 2014 by completing a marathon tour of 27 concerts in 27 nights. Since then they have performed everywhere from the Netherlands to Poland and the Baltics to the Balkans, including Mondriaan Jazz Festival (NL), Krokus Jazz Festival (PL), Jazz Festival Praha, Jazz Goes To Town (CZ), X Jazz Festival (DE), MediaWave Festival (HU), Transilvania Jazz Festival (RO), Mailaul Festival (EE), and many more.
In April '16 they released Parker's third album 'Alive Out There', recorded live on their Fall '15 tour. Their new studio album 'Shiny Objects, Dark Places' was release in Fall '18
